2009-2010 Alaska EPSCoR Travel Grant
Submission deadlines: September 28, 2009 and January 11, 2010.
Alaska EPSCoR announces a competition for travel funding aimed at faculty and graduate students in the biological and social sciences for the following purposes:
1. Research presentations at conferences and workshops;
2. Research presentations to communities within Alaska (knowledge exchange); and
3. Integrative science collaboration with other researchers working in Alaska.

In direct response to feedback we received at the NSF proposal-writing workshop in August 2007, we have launched a new program to help University of Alaska rural campuses across the state write more competitive grant proposals. LTER/EPSCoR High School Summer Research Internship Program
Submission deadline: April 1, 2009.
The Summer Research Internship Program is designed to give Alaskan students an opportunity to work on a science research project under the guidance of a university scientist (professor and/ or graduate student). Research may consist of field and laboratory work and activities include collecting, inputting, analyzing, and summarizing data, and presenting findings at the end of the six week period.
